Gracewell of Newbury Celebrates Special First Anniversary

Residents, family and members from the local community joined together on Saturday 14th October to celebrate Gracewell of Newbury’s 1st milestone birthday, since opening its doors last year.

Over 150 guests attended the special birthday celebration, including the local Mayor of Newbury, David Fenn and Mayoress, who were given the honour of officially opening the second floor, the latest development at the boutique-style home.

On arrival, guests were treated to canapes and refreshments, including a selection of pates with avocado and prawn, followed by a light buffet lunch, prepared by the dining team.

Later in the afternoon, there was a very special ceremony to mark the cutting of the cake, which was baked by the homes very own hostess, Felicia Vasilie.

Guests also enjoyed entertainment from a Beatles tribute band, who played some old classics, and residents and family members were eager join in with, getting up to dance. Further entertainment was provided by Golden Toes, who danced the afternoon away with some fantastic displays which residents thoroughly enjoyed, with many taking part.

Gracewell of Newbury celebrates delivering high-quality care, including nursing, residential, dementia and respite care, for now over a year. The home, on London Road, flaunts a bright and airy bistro, stylish lounges, a professional hair and beauty salon, a beautiful outside patio area which overlooks the sensory garden, and a cinema room.
