About The Location

When you move into Gracewell of Basingstoke you’re still at the heart of local life. We build positive relationships with local people, groups and charities. We provide a social hub that hosts many different community events and activities, where groups can hold meetings.

In fact, Gracewell of Basingstoke began building relationships with the local community even before we opened in 2012. Our care home's former name, Pemberley House, was given by pupils at the local St. John's Primary School in Basingstoke after Jane Austen's association with the county and her novel Pride and Prejudice.

The school children also took part in a tree planting project in Gracewell of Basingstoke's sensory gardens to celebrate nature and the community. The project included writing poems, reading nature books and enjoying garden-themed cupcakes.
