Carol Taylor, Deputy Manager

Carol

Having spent a considerable number of years as a Care Home Manager I now enjoy my role as a Deputy Manager engaging with Residents, Families, Nurses, Healthcare, Support Staff and supporting the Home Manager to ensure that Gracewell of Basingstoke is a happy, supportive and safe Care Home to live and work in.

I love my work and am passionate about what I do, having spent 40 years in the Healthcare profession I find a great deal of satisfaction and pride in working within a team for the benefit of the individuals we care for.

Louise Mayall, Home Admissions Advisor

Louise

I feel privileged to work at Gracewell of Basingstoke, engaging with families considering care for their loved ones.At times, families are conflicted with the difficult decision about care for their mother, father or other family member. I spend time talking with the families, discovering the type of care their loved one requires, what their interests are and explaining what our community is like.

I am passionate about my role, ensuring that families are provided with excellent advice and guidance. Being able to help and support people on a daily basis is very rewarding as well as upholding our “Living Values” of kindness, integrity, trust, empathy and respect.

Gemma Owencroft, Activities Co-ordinator

The Activities Team ensure our residents feel happy, relaxed and secure whilst taking part in activities to nurture people’s spirit and individuality. We see our role as bringing the outside world into our lovely home, residents sharing precious memories with us and learning from them.

The rewards are off the scale!  The priceless moments spent with our residents, light up our days as it does theirs. We are all here to create millions of magical memories.
