Meet Our Team

It’s the people who make our care home special. Our Home Manager leads a dedicated team of professionals who provide care and support to residents at Gracewell of Edgbaston.

Mike Dearn, Home Manager

Mike

My name is Mike Dearn and I am the new Home Manager at Gracewell of Edgbaston. I have worked in the care industry for 12 years and for the last 8 as a Home Manager. I am hoping my experience will add value to the excellent team here at Edgbaston and that together we can make the home even more successful.

Jazz Virk, Home Admissions Advisor

Jazz

Hi, I'm Jazz and I am the first point of contact for families looking for a care home for a loved one. Having joined Edgbaston in May 2017 as an established home, it is great to be part of a team who care and want to make our residents lives fulfilling. The team and residents are so warm and welcoming. I am so proud to be part of this team.

Lisa Joseph, Home Administrator

Lisa Joseph - Edgbaston

My role at Gracewell consists of recruitment, payroll and staffing. I previously worked in Administration with children for 6 years and moved on to working for a care home for 4 years and have been with Gracewell since February 2017. I very much enjoy my role at Gracewell and I am keen to get the right staff for our home to give our residents the best quality of life.

Carl Cooper, Head Chef

Carl Cooper

I started out working in care just over 10 years ago as a Kitchen Assistant, I worked my way up to becoming Head Chef within my first 3 years of working there and I worked there for 10 years. It was not just my job I was going to every day, it was like going home to my 2nd family. The experience and opportunities that were given to me has helped me achieve the role I have today. I have only been working for Gracewell for a month and I already have made it feel like a new home with a new family. I live in West Bromwich with my family and, in my spare time, my youngest daughter and I bake for the elderly people who live on our estate, a place that we have known for over 20 years.

Terry Arrowsmith, Maintenance Manager

Terry Arrowsmith

I am new to Gracewell but have come from a 20-year background in school maintenance. I live in Solihull and have three teenage children. Not only am I enjoying my new role, I love to socialise with the residents and hear their life stories and - wow - what some of have done in their lives is amazing. When you come to work and smile you know it’s a nice place. The team here are great.

Satnam Kaur, Head Housekeeper

Satnam

Hello my name is Satnam and I am the head housekeeper. I have been apart of the Gracewell team since the opening in 2015. Since I have been here I have loved every minute with our day to day duties, but most of all getting to chance to speak to all the residents as I clean their rooms! I am so happy to work for Gracewell as we have a wonderful team and fantastic residents. It really is like a second family.
