It is the people who make our home a truly happy and caring one.

We are proud to have a great team who delivers highly personalised care in the utmost professional way and with genuine kindness.

Having recently joined the team at Gracewell of Fareham I am looking forward to the challenge and all the opportunity that this beautiful home has to offer. I have a wealth of experience to share from previous Home Manager roles and regional roles.  The team here are friendly and passionate about the standard of care they deliver and already I feel right at Home.  I looking forward to meeting all our families, everyone can take advantage of my open door policy.  Together we can ensure that lives here are lived to the fullest.

Zoe Kelly, Activities Co-ordinator

Zoe Kelly

I love my job because I enjoy being a team leader, organising events and activities. I enjoy meeting the needs of residents to their person centred activity. To make a meaningful moment and a difference to their day. To achieve a moment that means something special to them and leaves a lasting memory and feeling for days to come.

My role is to find a solution to improve the quality of life. Show prospective residents and their families around our community reassuring them on the bespoke care plan they will receive and help to make that difficult and important decision easier. It’s extremely rewarding seeing our residents move in and feel at home straight away. They then wonder why they hadn’t made the decision sooner.

Joanne Dempsey, Head Chef

I have had a long and varied career in the catering industry and worked in some of London’s elite venues including 1 Michelin Star ‘The Greenhouse’ with Gary Rhodes and as Pastry Chef at The Waldolf Hotel Aldwych.

I joined Sunrise of Bassett in April 2014 before moving to Gracewell of Fareham in June 2017 and have not looked back.  My role as Dining Services Coordinator is to ensure that all our residents receive the finest quality food and service always, whilst considering everyone’s indivisible dietary and nutritional needs.  Meal times are an important sociable part of our resident’s day and it is a privilege to be a part of that.  There is nothing more rewarding than hearing all the nice comments during a meal service and seeing that our residents are happy and content.
