Meet Our Team

Every member of staff at our Gracewell of Weymouth care home in Weymouth has joined our team because they believe in Gracewell’s Living Values; these are kindness, empathy, integrity, respect and trust. With these values in mind, Gracewell of Weymouth provides a home filled with laughter, friendship and warmth not only for residents, but also for their family and friends.

Rodelyn Thompson, Home Manager

RodelynMy name is Rodelyn Thompson and I joined Gracewell Healthcare Ltd in September 2016 as a Peripatetic Home Manager and eventually became a Registered Home Manager for Gracewell of Weymouth. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Philippines and I qualified as a RGN here in the UK in 2001 whilst working at Singleton Hospital NHS Trust in Swansea, Wales. I am a qualified NVQ Assessor and a qualified Mentor for student nurses in placement. Also in 2013, I have completed my Diploma in Management and Leadership course. My experienced consist of working in different care providers as a nurse and Home Manager prior joining Gracewell Healthcare Ltd. EstherWorking for Gracewell of Weymouth is not just a job for me. Being able to help residents transition from home or hospital into a care home environment and into the next phase of their life is a huge responsibility and extremely rewarding. I have been working for Gracewell of Weymouth since September 2015 and I love being able to bring Gracewell to more families.

I joined Gracewell of Weymouth in 2013 as a Kitchen Assistant and moved to the Activities department in 2015.

We run a wide range of activities to include all our residents, including Gentlemen’s Club, Baking, Bird Watching, Games, Singing and Arts & Crafts.I really enjoy my job and it is so rewarding when you see the residents having such a great time, knowing that you can make a difference in someone’s life.

I was a Heart & Soul winner in 2016, for Enhancing and Enriching people’s lives in care.

Sean Colledge, Home Administrator

Sean I joined Gracewell of Weymouth in November 2016, and I am responsible for the payroll and HR Administration for our over 80 staff, as well as billing and finance support for our residents. My background is mainly in HR and Training, but before I joined Gracewell I managed the Admin team at NHS Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group, and so have first-hand knowledge of some the funding options for our residents.

Donna I came to work for Gracewell of Weymouth in May 2016, having previously worked for another care provider for 9 years, I decided to move onto a new venture and coming to Gracewell has been the best move I have made. Not only does it have an amazing residents, it also has amazing teams in all departments. Gracewell of Weymouth is a stunning and luxurious home and I am lucky to work here. With the support of the housekeeping and laundry team we take pride in the appearance and cleanliness of the home.

I Joined the Gracewell of Weymouth Team in 2013 as a senior carer, and worked on the nursing floor. Recently I have been transferred to the ground floor for assisted and residential care. I joined nursing care when I was nineteen. I joined the hospital and worked on the maturity ward and special baby care unit achieving my babay massage course. Following this I joined Buba working in complex care where I achieved NVQ 4/5 and was awarded a Bupa one life. Since joining Gracewell of Weymouth I have achieved end of life care through weldmar level 2 and 3 and trained as an ergo coach, 

I was also selected as a heart and soul winner. I connected with the Gracewell ethos and values and although challenged at times I thoroughly enjoy my job delivering person centre care and ensuring the residents are in a safe, home from home environment.
