Scott Lindfield, the new General Manager at Gracewell of Newbury, discusses his plans for the care home.
I’m really excited to get stuck into my new role as General Manager at Gracewell of Newbury. I’m fairly local to the area, having lived half an hour away in Andover for 24 years.
I have worked in care for 17 years now and most definitely my favourite aspect of the job is the people you meet along the way. I’m lucky enough to come into contact with people from a variety of backgrounds, with so many different stories and life experiences to share. It’s what makes the job so very enjoyable!
I know that Gracewell of Newbury is such a special care home and I wanted to join because the residents, relatives and team members all have a big part to play in making this possible. I truly believe we are the best home in Newbury – the high quality, personalised nursing, residential, dementia and respite care we offer is like no other in the community.
Now, I’m looking forward to supporting Gracewell of Newbury to grow from strength to strength. I know that every resident is provided and cared for with their individual needs in mind - and aside from the care on offer, our dedicated programme of activities and events means there’s always something going on in what is a friendly and warm environment. I have high hopes for what we have the capacity to achieve and I want to support Newbury to become an ‘Outstanding’ home next. Watch this space!
