Gracewell Of Frome Enjoys Good Afternoon Choir
Residents at Gracewell of Frome enjoyed a concert performance from the local Frome Good Afternoon Choir this week, who visited the home.
The choir, which was conducted by Choir Master Matt Finch, treated residents to an afternoon of popular songs, ranging from John Lennon’s Imagine and songs from the musical Les Miserables, to the ever-popular Elvis Presley classic Can’t Help Falling in Love. The delightful afternoon finished with a medley of songs from The Sound of Music. Residents and guests gave an encore and were delighted with a rousing repeat of New York, New York.
The concert formed part of a mini festival organised by the President of the Frome Festival Martin Bax, in conjunction with Chris Dixon, Debbie Goodsell and the rest of the Gracewell team.
The Good Afternoon Choir in Frome is part of a community choir project with eight other choirs in the South West area. The event was part of Gracewell of Frome’s commitment to ensure that residents continue to live engaged and fulfilling lives.
Debbie Goodsell, Home Admissions Adviser at Gracewell of Frome, said:
“The concert was a really joyous occasion which brightened all the residents and the teams’ day – singing a long and enjoying a very special event. We have already booked the Choir for Christmas and can’t wait to welcome them again.”
