Residents at Gracewell of Bookham Safely Reunite with Their Families
In May, Gracewell of Bookham hosted a drive-through visit event for residents and their families. Following the success of the event, and the overwhelming positive feedback from families, the team have now set up a visiting table on the patio of the care home. Families have been invited to pre-book slots and visit their loved ones at a safe social distance.
All relatives who visit are temperature checked, they also wear masks and plenty of hand sanitiser is provided. The table is measured to comply with government guidelines and the team ensure social distancing is adhered to by all.

“Thank you very much for enabling the visit today. It was all very well managed – temperature check, hand wash and plenty of distance. The pretty flowers on the table were a lovely touch. The gardens at Gracewell of Bookham are beautiful.”
Vicky Radmore, Home Admissions Adviser at Gracewell of Bookham said:
“Following the success of our drive-through event, we wanted to ensure families could spend one-to-one time with the residents. This solution is perfect. The residents safety is always our top priority and we have ensured extra precautions are taken in addition to plenty of social distance.
“We know how much this quality time with their families means to the residents, it’s lovely to see. We are so excited for the day we are able to properly welcome visitors back to our wonderful home.”
