Gracewell of Weymouth, on Cross Road, are delighted to be a part of Gracewell Healthcare’s campaign to open up their doors to local older people who face spending Christmas Day alone this festive season.

Gracewell of Weymouth, which provides high quality nursing, residential and dementia care, will be taking part in the campaign by inviting local people along to its busy calendar of Yuletide events, including:

  • 10 December: Christmas Wonderland - meet Santa Claus in his grotto with reindeer, magical snow and lights in the Gracewell of Weymouth Christmas garden.
  • 13 December: Veterans Christmas Lunch - local veterans are invited to tuck into a Christmas lunch with all the trimmings.
  • 14 December: Festive music and treats with a special guest.
  • 21 December: Pantomime – enjoy a festive performance of Aladdin.

Esther Sheppard, Home Admissions Adviser at Gracewell of Weymouth, said:

“Loneliness is a serious issue, with more than a million older people across England often feeling ignored or invisible.

“Gracewell of Weymouth is looking forward to welcoming new friends to ensure the festive season is filled with warmth and happiness for as many local older people as possible.”
