Gracewell of Bookham care home celebrates second anniversary with 1950s themed BBQ
Gracewell of Bookham care home, on Rectory Lane, celebrated its second anniversary on Sunday, with a 1950’s themed family BBQ.
The afternoon was enjoyed by family members, friends, residents, team members and locals including mother and toddlers from the home’s monthly group.
There was a delicious BBQ, live entertainment, an ice cream trike, a fun coconut shy and face painting for the children.
Karen Davies-Read, General Manager at Gracewell of Bookham, said:
“It was great for everyone to get together to enjoy a lovely afternoon in the sun. We are grateful to our entire team for their hard work and commitment – it felt amazing to be celebrating two years. Thank you to all that came down to celebrate with us.”
Harriet, daughter of a resident said:
“Sunday was joyful. Great weather and lovely entertainment. It was nice to see Dad so relaxed and enjoying himself so much.”
