Zoe Steventon, General Manager
Hello, my name is Zoe and I am the General Manager at Gracewell Edgbaston. I have been a registered Nurse for 16 years and had 10 years care home experience too. I am very open and honest and welcome any feedback you would like to share. I enjoy spending time with my family, I have one daughter and my favourite place in the world is Cornwall. Feel free to ask me about any queries or if you have any questions when you visit our home, my door is always open.
Becky Kneller, Deputy Manager
My passion lies with elderly care and I am always happy to help. Just a little bit about my past... In 2009 I became a carer at my previous Nursing Home. In 2011 I qualified as a General Nurse and was then promoted to a clinical lead in 2016 and a deputy manager in 2018. I have joined Gracewell of Edgbaston as deputy manager and thrive off the teams ethos and happy residents. Please feel free to ask me anything, I am always happy to help.
Natasha Phillips, Interim Home Admissions Advisor
Hi I'm Tasha, the Interim Home Admissions Adviser here at Gracewell of Edgbaston. For the past 3 years I have been the homes activities coordinator which has given me such joy. My passion is working with the elderly, it is such a rewarding job that I take great pride in. It has been lovely to see our community grow in the last few years and I am so proud of the team that I work with, it really is a family environment here. Megean Gooding, Interim Activities Co-ordinator
Hi my name is Megean and I have been working here at Gracewell since October 2018. I have really enjoyed my jobas care assistant and took great pride in working with people with memory loss, so I also became the dementiachampion. It was during this time that I saw the impact activities had on our residents with memory loss and took onthe additional role of activities champion also. I am happy to step into the role of Interim Activities Coordinator as eachsmile meaning that that person has had a meaningful day.
Lisa Joseph, Home Administrator
My role at Gracewell consists of recruitment, payroll and staffing. I previously worked in Administration with children for 6 years and moved on to working for a care home for 4 years and have been with Gracewell since February 2017. I very much enjoy my role at Gracewell and I am keen to get the right staff for our home to give our residents the best quality of life.
Carl Cooper, Head Chef
I started out working in care just over 10 years ago as a Kitchen Assistant, I worked my way up to becoming Head Chef within my first 3 years of working there and I worked there for 10 years. It was not just my job I was going to every day, it was like going home to my 2nd family. The experience and opportunities that were given to me has helped me achieve the role I have today. I have only been working for Gracewell for a month and I already have made it feel like a new home with a new family. I live in West Bromwich with my family and, in my spare time, my youngest daughter and I bake for the elderly people who live on our estate, a place that we have known for over 20 years.
Safeena Panesar, Head Housekeeper
I have been with the company since 2012 and transferred to Gracewell of Edgbaston in 2018. I absolutely love to clean and I have been told I am super organised. I love being with the residents and looking after them to ensure the whole home is fresh and clean to a high standard and laundry is labelled, washed and ironed and looked after. Gracewell is like my second home. I always want it to be a clean and safe environment for our residents, families and staff. It is so rewarding to hear comments about the cleanliness of the home and that is my aim every single day for my team.

I am new to Gracewell but have come from a 20-year background in school maintenance. I live in Solihull and have three teenage children. Not only am I enjoying my new role, I love to socialise with the residents and hear their life stories and - wow - what some of have done in their lives is amazing. When you come to work and smile you know it’s a nice place. The team here are great.

I have lived at Gracewell since July 2018 it is an excellent home and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. The staff here are grand and I have made some great friends here. They all keep us busy with tasks to do and all of the eating of good food throughout the day too. My family are happy because I am happy. Anything I ask for or I want is always an easy task. I have lived at Gracewell since July 2017 and the staff here are just wonderful day and night. Nothing is too much trouble and everything is done with attention to detail. The staff have great communication with my family and they can all visit whenever they like which is always so lovely. The cleanliness of the home is to perfection and I cannot praise enough.
