It is the people who make our home a truly happy and caring one. We are proud to have a great team who delivers highly personalised care in the utmost professional way and with genuine kindness.

Steven Wyllie, Home Admissions Advisor

SteveIt is lovely to be a part of the next step in people's lives, watching them blossom in their new home, seeing them making new friends and enjoying being part of a close community. I am looking forward to guiding and supporting families through what can be a very difficult time in their lives and show them how the team here can really support their choices.

Jenny Codman, Activities Co-ordinator

Jenny CodmanHello! My name is Jenny Codman and I have been a carer for over ten years. When I moved to Fleet and started working at Gracewell of Church Crookham I was then given the opportunity to become an activities co-ordinator. I was delighted with this opportunity as I have always wanted to spend quality time with the residents as I enjoy the trips out, activities and finding out about the residents and what they would like to do to fill their days. I thoroughly enjoy my role here and have really good relationships with all of the residents, staff and families. We are like one big family.

Jenny Walker, Home Administrator

Jenny Hello, I have been working for Gracewell of Church Crookham since a few months after opening, I have worked in most areas of the home, I started in housekeeping then I become a hostess until I joined the reception team, this is where I got to learn a lot of the administration role so when there was an opening I applied and was successful. I love working for Gracewell of Church Crookham as we are such a close family, not only the staff but the residents are part of that family. I am originally from Liverpool but moved to Germany as my husband was in the armed forces, we then were transferred to Church Crookham where I started at Gracewell and couldn’t of been made to feel any more welcome, I am hoping to spend many more years here as it has become my second home.

Darwin Serrano, Head Chef

Darwin SerranoI firmly believed that resident's satisfaction and nutrition is the most important aspect of running a successful kitchen. I like to ensure that food that comes out of my kitchen is prepared and presented to the highest standard. I have plenty of extensive experience in fine dining such as working for six years as a Sous Chef at The Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane which gave me opportunity to cater for the Queen and Nelson Mandela amongst other famous faces. I have gained many years' experience working in five star hotels abroad and achieved numerous awards here and there. I also have experience in dealing with special diets as I have also worked as Head Chef for nine years at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. Now, I am glad that I am part of Gracewell Team and I simply love looking after my residents. I always feel self-contentment whenever I do something for them because I do believe that food is one very important aspect of their well-being.

Access to our homes: latest information

We continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis, following public health advice. We've a detailed set of criteria to inform when an individual home can be reopened safely to limited visiting either by families of existing residents or by potential new residents who may want to view one of our homes. The majority of our homes are open for admissions.

As part of our approach to reopening for visitors, we'll be operating in a very different way. To minimise the risk of infection we've produced a safety guide. We'll continue to follow public health advice to determine when visits will return to normal and will continue to do our best to support residents to keep in touch with loved ones.
