"When you come to the gut wrenching realisation that you can no longer provide the specialised care that your loved one requires, the nursing facility selected needs to be a very special place that can offer the complete range of medical, psychological, and supportive care that matches the needs of the individual. At Gracewell of Fareham I was able to find that place. One very special part of this facility is the activities team, led by Zoe Kelly.

When very severe and terminal illness strikes, quality and value needs to be added to each and every day because there is no knowing whether that day will be the very last. The need to grab each opportunity to enjoy life has to be taken. Over two and a half years I watched the persistence and tenacity of Zoe who did not fail in her efforts in trying to find activities to enrich the daily lives of the residents around her.

She is a gentle and happy soul with a very unassuming manner who always has time for those around her. All her plans are carefully thought out in advance and are underpinned by evidence based practice. I have watched her invest significant time in the art of just listening at exactly the right moment, or encouraging someone to dance, play bingo, sing, and numerous other activities that are incredibly valuable for a happy and contented life. However, the really special thing about Zoe is that when she has finally achieved that longed for smile on the face of a resident, she just steps back and walks away.... content to leave the friends and family to enjoy that precious moment.   Priceless moments that capture the essence of living. I have many of these moments forever in my memory because Zoe Kelly and those of her team do a simply outstanding job."

Very pleased with the care my father received. The staff were very caring and attentive and the nursing staff very professional and diligent. Communication was excellent at all times. Lovely surroundings. Dad was happy and content during his stay. I would recommend Gracewell.

I can only praise everyone who came in contact with Mum. Such amazing support during her time at Gracewell of Fareham. To: Her Nursing Team - they were always in support of my worries too. The Care team - please be proud of your companionship and care. The Housekeeping Team and Personal Grooming Services - always a smile and nothing to much trouble; encouraging Mum to maintain pride in herself. The Catering Team - Arriving at Gracewell immediately from a long stay in hospital, Mum had no appetite; so to see her gaining weight, recovering and maintaining her strength was a great result. Events - Mum was always one for keeping to herself, so although the Events Organiser worked tirelessly I suspect Mum may have been a lost cause; in the last 20 years my wife and I managed to have her accept only twice an invitation out for a tea and cake. Maintenance Team - for keeping the services Mum enjoyed in working order. ...although an informal closing...to all - a big hug, smiles and wet eyes...

How likely would you be to recommend Gracewell of Fareham? Extremely Likely

My father was resident at Gracewell for just over a month for end of life dementia and medical care. In this time he received excellent first rate care, provided by a strong and compassionate team. A moving example of this was after my father had passed away; being a devout Roman Catholic, one of the nurses was kind and thoughtful enough to place the crucifix, that had been hanging above his bed, in his hand. A simple act of kindness which meant the world to his wife and family. Thank you.

How likely would you be to recommend Gracewell of Fareham? Extremely Likely

I am a carer for my brother-in-law, but following my replacement knee operation I was unable to carry out the necessary care he required, therefore the only option was to place him in respite. Reviewing a number of care homes, I came across Gracewell Healthcare. The reviews were very good and their website provided all the information I needed and when I contacted them they were extremely helpful and their medical assessment covered all the necessary requirements you would expect from a professional care home. On visiting Gracewell of Fareham the staff were very friendly, professional and I found they had everything to give me the confidence my brother-in-law would receive the continuing 24/7 care to ensure he would be comfortable and have the medical treatment he needed. The facilities in Gracewell of Fareham are excellent with an atmosphere and environment different from many other care home providers. It's bright decor give the feeling of a five-star hotel. Rooms have everything to ensure comfort.

How likely would you be to recommend Gracewell of Fareham? Extremely Likely

I am so glad we opted for Gracewell to take care of mom as the carers and nurses are very caring and helpful and mom has settled in so well. Having had a previous bad experience at another home, we were afraid she wouldn't like Gracewell but each time we see her now she says how nice it is. Mom recently went on an outing organised by Gracewell and loved every minute of the trip, so much that we have put her name down for another one later this month.
