Gracewell of Newbury
Meet our team
Coral Elvin, Home Admissions Advisor
Hi! I’m Coral Elvin, the new Home Admissions Advisor for Gracewell of Newbury. I am very excited to take up my new role and have enjoyed meeting the lovely residents and colleagues in our home. I have been very impressed by the professionalism, care and empathy shown by the staff to our residents. I have also witnessed the strong bonds between them and noted the shared humour and interests. Their determination and courage has inspired me to do the very best I can and to share the wonderful atmosphere at Gracewell of Newbury with others.
Sandra Vilaca, Activities Co-ordinator
I've been working with Gracewell since September 2016. I managed activities for 18 years in my country, Portugal. I have a degree in Gerontology and for me to work with elderly is the most grateful job in the world. I simply LOVE it...Our home is a community where we get to know each other and where families becomes friends. This is a special and lovely home.
Omowumi Lewal, Clinical Lead Nurse
My Gracewell of Newbury journey started in 2017, after achieving my MSC in Nursing Advanced Leadership at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. I really enjoy working for Gracewell of Newbury because it is so well structured, we have a great support system and training for Nurses is exceptional. In my spare time, I am a bit of a movie buff! A trip to the cinema or Netflix is always enjoyable. Everyday here at Gracewell of Newbury there is a new challenge, but it keeps me on my toes and there is nothing that I wouldn't do for our lovely residents.
Vicki Harding, Head Housekeeper
I have been at Gracewell of Newbury since 2016, and after all this time I still really enjoy working here. What makes this place wonderful to work are my team, my colleagues and most of all the residents. I have loved getting to know all the residents as though they are my second family. I enjoy looking after my grandson when I am away at work and when I get a moment's peace, I do always enjoy a good book!
Fran Gathercole, Head Chef
My ‘Cheffing’ journey started after I gained a City & Guilds in Catering at Farnborough College of Technology, and I started working for the RADC Officers and Sergeants Mess and after 10 years I decided on a change to Notcutts Garden Centre which then led me to a private residential home in Fleet for another 10 years. I have been working for Gracewell for five years and my speciality is making personalised cakes for our residents. I love to meet people of all ages, I enjoy visiting different countries and have travelled to many places all over the world. My hobbies are cooking, cycling, dancing and spending time with my family for days out.
Jackie Krauesslar, Receptionist
I have been with Gracewell of Newbury since September 2016. I thoroughly enjoy working here, I love chatting to and interacting with both our residents as well as their relatives. In my spare time, I like to stay active with gym and tennis and I am also learning to play the guitar! Gracewell of Newbury is a special place to work and I feel privileged to be a part of such a great team.
Sharon Howell, Receptionist
I've been working at Gracewell of Newbury since 2016, even though only working part time I really enjoy working here and I find it very rewarding. In my spare time I love walking my two dogs, I do enjoy a bit of DIY - doing up the house and gardening with my husband. I have two grown up children, one who got married summer of 2019 and it was such a joy to be part of.
