Gracewell of Salisbury
Meet our team
Scott Lindfield, General Manager
I'm really excited to get stuck into my new role as General Manager at Gracewell of Salisbury. I have worked in care for 17 years now and most definitely my favourite aspect of the job is the people you meet along the way. I'm lucky enough to come into contact with people from a variety of backgrounds, with so many different stories and life experiences to share. It's what makes the job so very enjoyable! I know that Gracewell of Salisbury is a special care home and I wanted to join here because the residents, relatives and team members have all have a big part to play in making this possible. I truly believe we are the best home in Salisbury – the high quality, personalised nursing, residential, dementia and respite care we offer is like no other in the community. Now, I'm looking forward to supporting Gracewell of Salisbury to grow from strength to strength. I know that every resident is provided and cared for with their individual needs in mind - and aside from the care on offer, our dedicated programme of activities and events means there's always something going on in what is a friendly and warm environment. I have high hopes for what we have the capacity to achieve and I want to support Salisbury to become an 'Outstanding' home next. Watch this space!
Carol Brewster, Home Admissions Advisor
I have recently joined Gracewell Salisbury as the Home Admissions Advisor and feel very lucky and privileged to be part of this amazing award winning team. I am a qualified RN and have a background in the care sector. I am passionate about making our residents day to day experience the best it can be. Every day it is a joy to meet residents and their families and to be involved in what can sometimes be a stressful time and being part of the journey in making a decision about moving to a place that is everything they could wish for in a home. Our promise at Gracewell Salisbury is to be respectful, caring and most importantly treating everyone with humility and compassion and always with a smile.
Daniel Peach, Head Chef
Having joined the company as a Bank Chef I saw huge potential within the company and thought I would stick around. So here I am at Salisbury as Head Chef. How lucky I am to be part of the team, not only have we got some fantastic team members but some absolutely brilliant residents too! It's rare you'll see me without a smile on my face whilst working here. Be sure to keep an eye out on our social media pages for pictures of my team's tasty treats! I'm confident that as a team we can make a huge impact on our resident's lives and build something truly magnificent here at Gracewell of Salisbury.
Paula McDonald, Head Housekeeper
I have worked at Gracewell of Salisbury for three and a half years as the Head Housekeeper. I have many years experience in similar roles in the care sector and as a carer in the community. I know the importance of looking after and supporting venerable and elderly people and believe that at all times values and standards are always maintained to the highest level, and ensure that all our lovely residents have a beautiful clean home to live in at all times.
I have just taken on additional responsibilities as the infection control champion and have to train all staff to ensure that all our residents are protected from infections within the home to the best of our abilities, which has been very interesting and rewarding. I will always give 100% when at work to ensure that our residents have the best home to live in at all times so that they can enjoy living at Gracewell.
Gracewell is a beautiful home with amazing staff, and a great place to work.
Doug Lewington, Maintenance Manger
I joined Gracewell of Salisbury in 2018 after working in similar maintenance positions for over 20 years. As the maintenance manager I am responsible for ensuring the safety, security and comfort of all our residents. I enjoy working wit the team in Salisbury and find my job interesting as no two days are the same and very rewarding. I'm very proud to be part of the Gracewell team.
Anna Pickard, Business Office Co-ordinator
I joined Gracewell back in January 2015 as the administrator for Gracewell of Frome and then transferred to Gracewell of Salisbury in September 2019. Before I joined Gracewell I had been working in the Care Industry for 10 years as a Carer then a Senior Carer. I then became the administrator which I enjoyed as I had worked in administration roles before I had my children back in 2006. I am responsible for the recruitment of all staff members, payroll, finance support, billing and all aspects of administration. I have really enjoyed my time working for Gracewell and being part of a very special team.
Marie Coleman, Receptionist
I joined Gracewell Salisbury in 2019 as a Senior Carer and recently I moved into the role of Receptionist which I am thoroughly enjoying. I am often the first person that our visitors meet and it is a pleasure to put them at ease and make them welcome in our lovely home.
