Independent Living

Independent living at Gracewell offers the best of both worlds - a comfortable home with all the modern conveniences where your loved one can retain their independence and a secure environment with qualified staff on-hand should the need arise for more specialised care in the future.

Independent living means your loved one stays in control of their life while benefiting from:

  • opportunities for social engagements with other residents
  • regular trips and activities through the week
  • fully equipped kitchen if they feel like cooking and dining room if they prefer eating out
  • housekeeping and maintenance support
  • assistance with any medical needs or doctor’s appointments

If their needs change over the years, Gracewell care homes provide nursing care, assisted living and dementia care.

At Gracewell, the following locations offer independent living for both singles or couples with different accommodation types:

Access to our homes: latest information

We continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis, following public health advice. We've a detailed set of criteria to inform when an individual home can be reopened safely to limited visiting either by families of existing residents or by potential new residents who may want to view one of our homes. The majority of our homes are open for admissions.

As part of our approach to reopening for visitors, we'll be operating in a very different way. To minimise the risk of infection we've produced a safety guide. We'll continue to follow public health advice to determine when visits will return to normal and will continue to do our best to support residents to keep in touch with loved ones.
