Nursing Care

What Is Nursing Care?

You may need nursing care if you or your loved one needs regular medical attention and round-the-clock support.

People often seek nursing care if they have a long-term illness or if they are recovering from an injury or a fall. They may need nursing care if they have recently come out of hospital.

Nursing Care at Gracewell

At Gracewell, our qualified and experienced staff provide nursing care with compassion and dignity.

Care and support is available 24 hours a day, including pain management and help with daily activities.

The Five-Point Personalised Care Programme can be tailored to nursing care to make sure you or your loved one has just the right type and level of care.

Our en-suite nursing care bedrooms are 50% larger than the care sector average, giving residents and staff ample room to move around. They feature a state-of-the-art profiling bed that can adjust to different heights and angles as needed. We can modify the rooms for any specialist equipment, such as ceiling hoists.

We know how important it is for food to be nutritious and delicious. That's why our chefs work with each resident to ensure meals reflect personal tastes and preferences as well as support health and wellness.

The Benefits of Nursing Care

Nursing care at Gracewell means peace of mind – knowing that your loved one is being well-looked after.

Their health and safety is paramount. But we go beyond that and consider their well being. Residents in nursing care can take part in daily activities, socialise with the other residents and enjoy the friendly environment of our care homes.

Access to our homes: latest information

We continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis, following public health advice. We've a detailed set of criteria to inform when an individual home can be reopened safely to limited visiting either by families of existing residents or by potential new residents who may want to view one of our homes. The majority of our homes are open for admissions.

As part of our approach to reopening for visitors, we'll be operating in a very different way. To minimise the risk of infection we've produced a safety guide. We'll continue to follow public health advice to determine when visits will return to normal and will continue to do our best to support residents to keep in touch with loved ones.
