What is nursing care?

You may need nursing care if you or your loved one needs regular medical attention and round-the-clock support.

People often seek nursing care if they have a long-term illness or if they are recovering from an injury or a fall. They may need nursing care if they have recently come out of hospital.

Anyone considering relocating any relative into a care home for residential, dementia or nursing care should seriously consider Gracewell. My mother who receives memory care has been there since it opened in November 2016. The care she receives is exemplary, she continues to tell me how happy she is living at Gracewell and how wonderful the carers are.

Nursing care at Gracewell

At Gracewell, our team of fully qualified nurses and experienced staff oversee the health and well-being of each resident, while utilising state of the art CareConnect to ensure the very best in nursing care.

Care and support are available 24 hours a day, including pain management and help with daily activities.

Everything we do focuses on enabling the fullest possible life for our residents. Our residents in nursing care can take part in daily activities, socialise with their peers and enjoy the friendly environment of our care homes.

Our en-suite nursing care bedrooms feature a state-of-the-art profiling bed that can adjust to different heights and angles as needed. And we can modify the rooms for any specialist equipment, such as ceiling hoists.

We know how important it is for food to be nutritious and delicious. That's why our chefs are experienced and able to deliver dishes tailored to individual requirements. For residents living with dysphagia – a condition which makes it hard to swallow – we prepare meals, pureed foods and smoothies that are not only easier to swallow, but also look appealing to eat. For residents living with dementia, we have special hydration and snack stations, designed to maintain healthy levels of fluid intake and nutrition.

Whatever your requirements, we will work to deliver the best possible care.
