Care at Gracewell
What is residential care?
Also known as assisted living, residential care is for residents who need some assistance with daily activities, but don’t require intensive nursing care. Residential care includes the provision of nutrition, daily activities, housekeeping services, and 24-hour access to professional care.
Why choose residential care?
You may be considering residential care for yourself, or a loved one - here are the five main reasons our residents choose residential care:
Residential care offers the chance to socialise and interact with other residents of a similar age, in stunning communal settings. Gracewell creates a peaceful, social community that is life enabling.
2. Peace of mind
Residential care at Gracewell offers safety for our residents and peace of mind for their loved ones. We believe in helping our residents to achieve the highest quality of life possible. Our staff always go above and beyond to ask questions, listen to stories and help revive those happy memories from the past.
3. Quality dining
Hydration and nutrition are incredibly important as we age, and residential care at Gracewell ensures our residents have regular nutritious meals. The menus cater to our residents' individual needs, and our in-house chefs are exceptionally talented. It's one less thing for you and your loved ones to worry about
4. Activities and events
Residential care isn't just about the home - it's about delivering care that improves the quality of life. At Gracewell, we have an extensive range of activities and clubs, led by an Activities Manager in each of our homes ,some activities are led by our residents! We provide regular trips in our minibus to parks, attractions, museums and events.
Residential Care at Gracewell is delivered in beautiful living environments, from our communal dining and living spaces, through to our beautifully appointed personal en-suite bedrooms . Our maintenance and housekeeping teams ensure our homes are stunning all year round so residents can continue to enjoy the things they enjoy in life.

“ I have really appreciated that the staff and management have taken the time to really get to know my dad and me. I know he is safe and well looked after.”
Rachel, daughter of resident at Gracewell of Sutton
Gracewell tailors each resident’s care to their specific needs and preferences. When a new resident chooses a Gracewell residential care home, our team conducts an assessment to determine the level of care needed. We also talk to the resident and their family members about likes and dislikes, hobbies, their former career, and other personal preferences.
All of this information is put into the resident’s care plan to ensure a personalised experience. This plan is reviewed regularly and updated as needed, so the care always reflects the resident’s needs, even as it changes.
