Let's #CelebrateCareHomes

Welcome to Gracewell Healthcare’s #CelebrateCareHomes campaign page.

The social care sector and especially care homes, have been faced with an unprecedented challenge as a result of the Covid-19 epidemic. Tasked with caring for one of the most vulnerable groups in society, many thousands of care homes have not only protected the health of older and elderly people but allowed them to thrive in this difficult time.

All our Gracewell care homes and care homes across the nation, have shown immense bravery, professionalism, and humanity over the last few months.

To raise awareness of this heroism, we have launched this campaign, which we hope will reaffirm the importance and value of care homes as we begin to emerge from this crisis. At their core, care homes provide a unique environment for older people to foster relationships, learn new skills and enjoy their later years.

Our #CelebrateCareHomes campaign hopes to champion this and rebuild public confidence as we look beyond Covid-19.

We invite you all to support the campaign in any way you can because we want to ensure care homes and the social care sector receive the recognition and praise they deserve.

Access to our homes: latest information

We continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis, following public health advice. We've a detailed set of criteria to inform when an individual home can be reopened safely to limited visiting either by families of existing residents or by potential new residents who may want to view one of our homes. The majority of our homes are open for admissions.

As part of our approach to reopening for visitors, we'll be operating in a very different way. To minimise the risk of infection we've produced a safety guide. We'll continue to follow public health advice to determine when visits will return to normal and will continue to do our best to support residents to keep in touch with loved ones.
